MYC Conference was on the 26th January and this year was very positive with loads of school from Medway getting involved, we had a marketplace, food and we were able to use MidKent College with there great facilities such as the Glass where the main event was being held
The aims of conference were to gather young people's views and opinions on topics involving Identity specifically looking into Racism, homophobia and discrimination throughout Medway
The data collected will be sent to The Medway council and other organisations giving them this information will allow them to make improvements to the things that we aimed to gather opinions on. We will also hopefully look to run projects on some of the information gathered.
Conference is also about giving all young people in Medway a chance to voice their views on the issues and how the council/government/public should be trying to reduce/solve them.
