Our Chair was delighted to visit Maundene School in Chatham on the 30th October and met with members of the school’s Student Leadership Team. The group of fifteen students, including their Head Boy Ethan, and Head Girl, Harleen, explained what the top issues are for pupils within the school.
Pupils designed their own coats of arms, which included the two best things about the local area, and the two things that they believe the Youth Council should be working on to improve.
The Youth Council looks forward to welcoming some of the pupils from Maundene along to future meetings of the Youth Council.
Our Chair, George Perfect commented “It’s brilliant to visit local primary schools and find out the top issues for young people and raise awareness of the important work of the Youth Council. Pupils were very engaged in discussion and have provided some important feedback for us.”
