April Full Youth Council welcomes Richard Hicks

On 20th April 2018 the Medway Youth Council had a presentation from the Director Regeneration, Culture, Environment and Transformation and Deputy Chief Executive of Medway Council, Richard Hicks. The presentation focused on the ongoing work within the regeneration of Medway, including the local plan. The presentation also allowed members to ask questions to the Director regarding the ongoing work within Medway Council. The director also updated the Youth Council on Future Medway – the Development Strategy Consultation

At the Full Youth Council meeting members also were given the timetable for the fresh Cabinet elections that are to take place in the next few months, and Cabinet members provided an update on their ongoing work in their respective portfolios.

The meeting closed with a debate on freedom of speech, where members were asked to consider if freedom of speech should come above all else.
